About Us

Exterior view of the Elks Lodge building with American flag.

On the first Sunday of every month, Elks Lodge 1342 flips omelets to order, stacks pancakes, and pours coffee for a crowd that stretches out the door. Veterans get in for $10 with ID, and every dollar raised goes right back to the community. That breakfast alone tells you everything about what this lodge stands for.

Founded under the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 1342 has been a fixture at 386 N Main St long enough that generations of Porterville families have celebrated here. Sweet 16 parties, New Year's Eve countdowns, holiday banquets, the room gets dressed up properly and the bar stays open. Staff like Arnold and Michelle treat every event like it matters, because to them, it genuinely does.

The building is cozy rather than grand, which is the point. This is a place where people actually talk to each other. A 4.5-star rating across 74 reviews reflects not square footage but the kind of night you drive home from still smiling.

What We Offer

Lodge 1342 keeps a packed calendar. The monthly Veterans Breakfast is all-you-can-eat and one of the best deals in Tulare County. Private event rentals cover birthday parties, quinceañeras, anniversaries, and corporate gatherings, with staff on hand to help coordinate details from setup to last call.

The full-service bar stocks the standards, and while drinks lean a little premium, the atmosphere justifies the tab. Members enjoy regular social nights, community fundraisers, and the full benefits of the national Elks organization, including scholarship programs, youth activities, and veteran outreach initiatives that reach well beyond Porterville.

Non-members are welcome at many public events. If you want deeper access, membership applications are available through the lodge or at elks.org.

"We wanted to take some time and on behalf of my mom Silvia, and say thank you to the staff of the Elks Lodge. My mom had booked the hall roughly a year in advance for my daughters quinceañera. There are little to no venues for this specific celebration in the community. Rhonda the secretary of the facility was amazing. She explained the details of the contract thoroughly and the rate was more than fair. What we appreciated the most was the honesty, and integrity of the way Rhonda did business. That day of the event the staff was very kind and helpful. We highly recommend the Elks Lodge to have your celebrations here. There are no words to say how incredibly grateful we are. Thank you for allowing us to host my daughters special day here."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
